Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited film Brahmastra is finally all set to release in theaters across the world amidst the boycott of Bollywood trends. And the first reviews have already arrived from Dubai, but unfortunately, Brahmastra has failed to impress with its Astraverse concept. Dubai-based film critic Umair Sandhu took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Brahmastra, appears after seeing the film at pre-screening. He added that Brahmastra is bigger in all aspects like star cast, VFX, canvas and promotions but sadly it is also a big drop when it comes to big screen entertainment. Even Shah Rukh Khan’s brilliant cameo could not save the film. He said that Brahmastra lacks soul and its fall is imminent. According to the film critic, the film may have a good opening due to the advance booking, but soon the audience will start rejecting it after the negative words. Talking about the performance, the film critic said that Ranbir Kapoor looks confused and does not know what is going on in the film. Alia Bhatt looks stunning while Mouni Roy looks creepy and her performance is loud. Amitabh Bachchan is a graceful person, although he has less screen time.

However, he appreciated Ayan Mukerji’s daring attempt to venture into a fantasy-adventure film, which is a rarity in Bollywood. He said that the story and screenplay are average and it sometimes gets messy. He added that the film is more on VFX and some scenes have been implemented well.

It remains to be seen how film critics and audiences in India will get Brahmastra after seeing it in theatres. The film is made on a huge budget of Rs 400 crores and was in the making for more than last 5 years.
