The ruckus about Pathan is increasing day by day. Yesterday Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra had termed the song Besharam Rang as objectionable. The saffron colored bikini that Deepika Padukone is wearing in the song seems to be causing all the ruckus around it. It is not a light orange or even saffron, but a deep shade of burnt orange. Many right wing people have given it a religious color with Shah Rukh Khan being a Muslim superstar. The matter of his wearing a green shirt has also come under the scanner. This kind of controversy is unheard of in Bollywood and even in Indian cinema. Also Read – Pathan: Prakash Raj supports Deepika Padukone over ‘saffron bikini’; here’s what she said

Now, news channels are reporting that members of an organization called Veer Shivaji Group burnt effigies of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone at a square in Indore. She has asked people to remove the objectionable scenes and pay attention to how the use of saffron bikini defames Hinduism. The film is going to release in theaters on 25 January 2023. It’s just over a month. It has to be seen whether this protest takes a bigger form in the coming days or not. This is not the first time that a Deepika Padukone film has been embroiled in controversies. We know what happened with Padmavat. Pathan is based on a big budget. The actors have apparently already decided to skip the interview. Ajay Devgn did the same for Drishyam 2. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will be promoting Pathan during the FIFA World Cup 2022. The superstar actress is already on the radar of right-wingers because of her visit to JNU.
